Bio From their inception in 2001, MUD has positioned themselves atop the cutting-edge San Francisco music scene, packing such landmark venues as the Paradise Lounge and the Bottom of the Hill, and playing with the likes of Faith No More and Forces Of Evil. Their captivating sound combines energy and melody, creating a potent musical experience rife with catchy female vocal harmonies and rhythmic, punishing guitar riffs. MUD blends elements from punk, nu metal, ska, and reggae into a unique, cohesive whole, with all the intensity of the Ataris and the power of Jawbreaker. The musical dynamics of MUD’s cutting-edge sound is evident on such tracks as the blistering “Psycho” and the catchy, sing-along “Fallen". MUD’s extensive touring abroad with several large rock festivals has also earned them regular rotation on foreign radio stations, supplementing their domestic airplay on stations like the Bay Area’s Live 105. Their talent and drive has been well-recognized both abroad and in the U.S.; writes Ryan Carney of Kid Glove Entertainment and Mastema: “Their stage performances are amazing and intense, the perfect integration of raw energy and sex appeal. And as if that weren’t enough alone, they are truly the hardest-working band I know... MUD is definitely on the road to success."
